At Olive Branch Events Co., our passion lies at the intersection of planning and design. We had the opportunity this Spring to collaborate with Ali Leigh Photography and an incredible team of vendors for a vibrant styled shoot at Honest Studios in Minneapolis, MN!
This inspiration shoot in Minneapolis was a love letter to this vibrant city—a blend of modern city life wrapped in the calming beauty of nature. Think soft whites, gentle pinks, sunny yellows, and soothing taupe tones—a mix that captured Minneapolis’s lively spirit.
Design Decisions
I’d say that the floral really drove the vision. We wanted a delicate symphony of handpicked florals, whimsically trailing ribbons in a vibrant yellow to encapsulate elegance, free-spirited energy and joy!
The tablescape features an ikebana floral arrangement nestled within a light-colored compote exuding modern elegance. Earthy tones blended seamlessly, resting atop a cream linen (which I’m embarrassed to admit took me WAY too long to decide on, haha!)
Originally, we wanted a black backdrop for major contrast against the softer floral, but decided that that probably would be too harsh, so opted for their pine wood backdrop and think this really allowed the forsythias to POP!
And of course, as we always do – we just adore MOTHER NATURE and anything earthy vibes, so we wanted to keep the rest of the tablescape interesting yet subtle. We added impact and contrast instead with the stoneware speckled plates and speckled statonery nestlng within the decor. These natural accents ended up so beautiful for a culmination of both raw and refined.
