Meeting Kelsey in our consultation call sparked an instant connection! She already had an idea of her wedding vision but needed a little help to make it a reality.
For November, it’s not uncommon to find deeper hues and moodier palettes, but we chose to emphasize the moodiness without making it gothic. There’s a lot of details we could discuss here, but I think our favorite elements are definitely the combination of black with burgundy and the lush and organic floral designs from Sunborn Gardens!
Kelsey and Devin’s day was a rare, warm 70 degree day in November starting with a traditional Catholic mass ceremony followed by a cozy ambient cocktail hour and reception at the Tinsmith.
You may sense a theme with us – we’re basically head over heels for moody, intimate weddings, even though of course that means different things to different people. Kelsey wrote in her design questionnaire that she was looking for “warm, homey, sentimental, and romantic” and we are so happy we were able to help them achieve this! We love the darkness of this palette. Opting away from the standard wedding cake, they chose mini pies (so fun!) and Kelsey’s mom even made adorable favor boxes to remind guests of the time change switch! Their reception was unique and bold with their gorgeous arrangements pairing nicely with black floating candles, sea of lights installation in their venue’s solarium, and the breathtaking imagery captured by the amazing Tribute Film + Photo team. We love this dreamy day and know you will too!
This wedding was also featured in Wisconsin Bride! 🙂
