When Harvest Moon Pond approached us to plan a styled shoot in their venue, it was easy to fall in love with the cozy charm and intimate warmth of the space. Harvest Moon Pond is rustic, but not overtly, so we chose to do something a little different than what is normally done in rural Wisconsin. We opted for ethereal romance meets Italian countryside to add a new perspective on what could be done in a barn.
There’s so much to highlight in this styled shoot, but one of our favorite details was the invitation suite designed by Windswept Design Studio! Allie made a custom watercolor piece of the venue for future couples, and I love how it turned out! You can tell she puts so much thought and detail into her work!
THE DETAILS
We need to talk about THAT DRESS! The Avery dress from Strike Bridal Bar with lace detailing in the sleeves are simply to die for. It was the perfect, elegant dress to pull everything together.
Our lovely models Jeffly and Brad were framed with a lush, textural, and whimsical floral installation in the ceremony space. Dainty and airy floral like Queen Anne’s Lace suggest the structure was just gathered from the garden. Loose and delicate vining foliage elegantly grows up and around the loft, embellishing the wooden beams, with greenery cascading down from the chandeliers on each side of the stained glass windows.
And because we are clearly obsessed with olive branches, we had to adorn the bride and the table settings with olive leaves. The tablescape came together with ceramic bud vases tucked between periwinkle taper candles to add the perfect amount of elegance and awe to this photoshoot.
Overall, this cozy, blue and earth-toned styled shoot inspiration is exactly what we’ve been waiting for all winter (and all of 2020). What a beautiful reminder that no matter what, the flowers bloom and better days are just around the corner.
