You know those people who you meet for the first time and instantly feel comfortable with? For me, that was Emily and Ben. They are so much fun! They are adventurous, care-free, and if it wasn’t clear in the photos, wildly in love! When I first met the couple, I knew we’d be the perfect match. Not only did we share our great taste in music, and our love for our dogs, we all also really care so much about helping people! Their big hearts were so evident and made them really easy to love and serve!

I stepped in to help wrap up final moving pieces about three months before their wedding. The deep hues of the bridesmaids dresses (talk about a color palette!) and Emily’s personal touches (brought in from the bride’s home!) synced so well with the former tobacco warehouse. Not to mention the custom-built arch from the bride’s father making for a beautiful backdrop for their heartfelt ceremony.

One really special detail they incorporated into their wedding was a feet washing ceremony. If you’re not familiar with the symbolism, in a nutshell it represents sacrificial love and humility. It was a beautiful moment and reminder of what marriage is all about.

This was hands down one of my favorite weddings of the season. And I’m still drooling over those Greenbush donuts!
