Becca reached out to me almost as soon as she and Tanner were engaged in December and needed help planning a quick celebration from start to finish, including choosing the venue and vendors to wrapping up every last detail – all in about three months. A few weeks into planning, in late January they decided to elope but still wanted to continue with plans to celebrate their marriage with their closest family and friends! We are so thrilled to share more about their Old Sugar Distillery wedding!

When asked about their decision to elope, the bride herself couldn’t have said it better.”I want our wedding day to be comfortable. It’s just a celebration of our love. That’s what is most important! I also want it to be a unique and different wedding than most people have been to!”

And unique it was! With a Saturday brunch, board games, flowers arranged by the mother of the groom, music provided by the brother of the bride, and makeup by the bride herself (she’s super talented and does it for a living!), every aspect of the wedding was so personal and the PERFECT representation of the couple.

Hosting an Old Sugar Distillery wedding is definitely for more laid-back couples. It certainly isn’t the first venue that comes to mind when you’re thinking weddings. The high ceilings, Edison lightbulbs, industrial design (and even a disco ball :)) were easy to fall in love with. The result was a lovely, intimate celebration in the heart of Madison.
