If you follow us on social media, you’ve like seen some of these photos over and over again, because we’re obsessed! One of the photographers in this shoot (Janae) and I had talked about doing an autumnal styled shoot for over 2 years! But I can say…it was 1000% worth the wait! The earthy, terra cotta, and bold color palette translated beautifully on a tablescape with gorgeous elevated florals. And let’s not forget those DAHLIAS!

Location and Venue

The Eloise is a brand new wedding venue located in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin that opened up August 2020 and boasts grandiose gold chandeliers and towering ceilings. It’s sleek, modern and the perfect neutral backdrop for any wedding style, big or small! We hope and plan to have many weddings here in the future! 🙂

Couple’s Story

Montel and Gloria modeled for the shoot but are also newly engaged planning for their micro wedding in February 2021! I really wanted Montel to propose to Gloria at this styled shoot, but he simply couldn’t wait! Honestly, I do not blame him. Look at how gorgeous his bride is!

Inspiration and Concept

Montel and Gloria were truly the inspiration for this photoshoot! I so wish this was their real wedding because it was the perfect embodiment of who they are! Stylish, glam, modern, boho. The flowers and dahlias from Sunborn Gardens were also a main focal point and the color palette perfectly fit their amazing warm, peachy, and terra cotta hues. I love the way the florist incorporated foliage and flowers that her husband grows on their flower farm.Although it was a styled shoot, it’s very clear how much love Montel & Gloria have for each other. There are a few shots of them laying on a rug that are my favorite images! So much joy!!!! That was a spontaneous idea that I threw at the photographer and it totally worked!

If you’re inspired and want to try some of these ideas out for yourself, we did DIY a few things. They’re super simple and doable!

DIY Projects:

  • I DID A DIY PROJECT! The arch stand sign display was DIY and was taken from a tutorial from Rock and Stone Weddings: https://rockandstoneweddings.com/2020/03/diy-tutorial-for-arch-easel-rock-stone-weddings/
  • The rust napkins were literally a bed linen that was the PERFECT color for the shoot. I found it at my local St. Vinny’s Dig & Save, had my sewing savvy friend cut them up, finish the edges and make them into napkins!
  • Although the meat and cheese board was made by my friend, she is an amazing food blogger that has a DIY recipe here:  https://bluebowlrecipes.com/fall-harvest-cheese-board/
  • The leather dining table chairs, the other half of the bed linen (draping on the lounge area – haha!) courtesy of my house and St. Vinny’s Dig & Save!

Alright, that’s enough talking. See for yourself!
